Can anyone reccomend a good exhaust shop that can weld a resonator or two into my mid-pipe for a reasonable price?
Look up Rose's Muffler in Grandview. Greg Rose. Pay him cash, and he'll do it on the spot for cheap. He looks like Charlie Manson, though.

Getting rid of the rasp?
I'd expect muffler guys to look like serial killers... don't know why, I just do.

We've got a pretty good shop sown in Springfield, it's acutally a meineke dealer, but the guy stays open late to do side work . . . cheap and good!
might be worth a drive, let me know if you are interested and i'll set you up. he's the meneike guy on kearney if you just want to look him up!

Greg and Horberg- do these places stock resonators? Or do I supply my own?

I had actually considered that, but I don't know if I want the attention that would come with. Maybe I'll just take off the axle back.
I'd be surprised if Manson, er, Greg Rose, would stock them, but who knows.
I say ditch the resonator, too!

I personally prefer a nice, controlled exhaust note, rather than just loud raspiness.

Yea, especially if you paint the tip yellow!
My Cobra is loud, and sorta fast....if you consider a 4.0 sec 0-60 time fast!!!!
I took the pig out this afternoon, and on cold streets, it's like driving on ice!
Anyone wanna race?

Sure I"ll race, but with one minor stipulation...you have to run the Cobra in reverse.

I'll race... if I get a 5 minute headstart.
