Hey guys, don't know too much about cars, but I know enough to get my by...
So far, I've got an intake on my car, and I'm hoping to pick up an exhaust in about 2 weeks.
There is so much I want to do to my car, but I would really like some suggestions from people who love and take pride in their cars.
I plan on lowering it, purchasing new rims, adding amber lights to the interior, maybe put a strut bar in?, but definetely get it repainted.
SUGGESTIONS?!?!

Definitely lower it. The red TRD springs offer a nice, not too extreme drop. As far as painting it, what'd you have in mind? Paint jobs can be pricey. BCP is a nice color...

Suspension mods will give the best bang for the buck (springs, struts, sway bar(s)).
I've only heard great things about DoctorIsotope's short throw shifter, I plan on getting one soon.
You have any wheels already picked out?

thanks for responding guys.
to be honest, i was thinking of a bright blue...the color of a blue m&m. *i can only imagine what something like that would cost*
I REALLY want it lowered and does anybody know of a good brand i should use? (considering the fact im a college student and paying for this all on my own)
i am so bad at deciding what kind of wheels i want, but i def. want black.
i love BCP but i dont think i like it with the stock wheels i have.
i hope to get the windows tinted, but i'm not sure what is aloud in PA. anybody know?
THANKS! -brittany
*i'll post pics in a couple minutes.

Paint jobs are mad expensive (for a good one) so you might wanna hold off on that. (or trade in for an RS 2.0)
I suggest the TRD springs, nice clean drop.
The wheels look okay now, but you might wanna try to clear coat em, so you can go a bit glossier. Wheels will look better with a drop too.
As far as tint in PA, you're only allowed 70% on all the windows (which is not very dark at all) of course, you can always go darker, but you risk tickets then.
I really like the BCP color. As mentioned, as good paint job, one in which everything is taped off well (or even better, all the weatherstripping removed first), the primed, then painted, the colorsanded and buffed, will cost you several thousand dollars. Before the paint job can even begin, the entire car would have to be scuffed with light grit sandpaper to get the primer to adhere. That alone is a big job.
I'd say put your money into performance enhancements, and down the road, go for the paint job. It's not like the car is a rust bucket, and a poor paint job detracts from an otherwise nice car. Your paint looks good; leave it be for now.
Welcome to the club!

Thanks for the info!
i still want a blue m&m though!!!
I think since i removed the badges and painted the one in the front black, do you guys think that silver colored wheels would look better? or maybe a two-tone deal? would a glossy look fit the car?
I ordered a silver decal for the windshield so...i need help.
70% BLOWSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
I'll risk the tickets. maybe 60%? does that make any difference? let me know.
Since you're on a budget, I'd work on the easy stuff right now. A set of new springs will help with the looks and improve the handling, making driving a lot more fun. The tints are a reasonable option though I am not a fan personally. As you have already painted the wheels, try a little spray on shine to see how they would look with a clear coat. I think with the dark wheels and the dark paint, a two tone look would be nice. Changing the badging will be a small change but one that will make a nice impact. You'd be surprised how a few small changes will make big changes to how a car looks.
Its your car so only you can make the final choice. If you want a unique looking car, then paint is a great option. If you want to stay on a budget, then work small and see where it takes you.

thanks rflz.
i saw a civic with two-tone wheels... they kind of looked like the stock tc's but they had blue on the inside and silver on the outside. maybe i'll play around in photoshop to see what i can do!
hmm....you just gave me some ideas! THANKS!

IMO, it wouldn't be worth tinting unless you went to at least 35%. That's the stock privacy glass on the xB, and that's not even that dark.

However, I dont really want to get pulled over all the time, but I hate not having my windows tinted. I have the windows tinted in my Lightning, but I have no idea what percent it is. I was never pulled over for it though.

You could probably take the truck to a tint shop and they can read the tint level for you. That'll give you a baseline and go from there.

haha that was my neighbors. My ex tried doing the best he could to fix it for her, but that thing was a peice of junk. As soon as she moved in it broke down and she just left it sit there. she was always bringing home fix-er-up's.
