Greetings, I just purchased a 2008 Xd with the premium stereo. When purchasing the car, it was touted as XM ready,... being a novice with XM, I thought that meant all I had to do was sign up for an XM subscription..hahaha, I then found it was an additional $486.00 to get a module install and antenna. I have been trying to find if there is anyway to get away from the dealer install and get XM through my headset. I called several car audio places and they said only the dealer can run it through the headset...that I would have to get a separate XM unit and install it on the dash... YUK. A friend suggested I contact TERK audio, but they are not able to come up with anything other than a seperate install or a new stereo. Any suggestions?
