Help, I need to get snow tires for my TC and I cannot find any, or they are outrageously expensive! Does anyone have any helpful info. for me?

Do the stock tC tires suck in the snow, or what? Man, I slide all over the place! I'll be watching this thread for sure to see what people are using for winter.

Bridgestone Blizzaks are nice, and I hear great things about the Pirelli offerings as well. I throw on my POS Eagle LS rubber in the winter... they do fine for normal driving but they don't grip in corners... they break loose too easily. Only 3 months until I can put my Pirellis back on! :D

According to the "experts", they say putting on snow tires for all four corners is the way to go. As for just snow tires, I've used all kinds with some success. I would just recommend buying some inexpensive SNOW tires, not all seasons. A dedicated snow tire will always outperform all seasons but are louder and look kind of funky on a FWD. Reasonable brands are Cooper and Briggstone plus a number of off brands. Do a check on the web and see what you can find in your size. If you have to use all seasons, then good luck. I don't have any recommendations there.

If I ever wear out the stock tires, I'll be putting on 4 snow tires. (Watch out, "Here come the Truck!"). Given the number of miles I drive now, that may take about 8 years! :D
