Oznium Dome Light

I put in a large size flex LED dome light from Oznium last night. That thing is effing bright! It lights up the entire car. It's a worthwhile addition and it's only 16 bucks!

Does it dim at 15 seconds, like the stock unit, or does it just go off ?

Yea, that's the one.

It does dim out, although it's not as smooth as the stock bulb.
The brightness is unbelievable. I got a new camera, I'll have to get some pics of it.

I am unable to get the dome light lens to fit after installing the Oz LED lamp. Did you modify the base of the doem light for more clearance to the lens?

As it turns out, Oznium is a great company. I wrote to them with my concerns about getting the "large" dome led to fit, and I received this reply by email:

Unfortunately I believe you purchased the incorrect dome light for your vehicle. I would recommend going with the 1.5x1.5 Ultra thin dome light model found here. http://www.oznium.com/thin-led-domelight*

I received the "ultra thin" unit yesterday and installed it, and it is a great improvement from the original festoon lamp. Only small glitch is that the xB festoon lamp is an "in between" size, and of the (many) lamp adapters that come with the LED unit, one is a bit short, while the next size up is a hair long. Either will work, but the + tab will need a bit of tweaking to get a perfect fit. All in all, a superb and economical upgrade. Much better interior lighting.
