QUICK parts turnaround by Sparks!

Ordered my accessories from Sparks Friday 4:00pm EST, and they arrived Tuesday morning. That implies Fedex Ground had them Friday since it's normally two days ground shipping from SC to DE. I'm impressed Sparks !

That's good to know... I've heard great things about Sparks, but I've never personally ordered anything from them.

I just finished installing the last item that required significant work (fog lights) and so I'm considering another order for perhaps door sills (I really do want to protect those sills), though it's hard now to come up with anything I really want.

The cold air intake is interesting, but there are multiple manufacturers, which makes it hard to choose. Looking at the 2008 xB air intake, it looks as though it's actually feeding from below the battery. That being the case, it appears to me the primary value of a cold-air upgrade is increasing the available volume of air (reducing constriction.)

Any thoughts?

A cold air induction system will not only flow better than the OEM system, but will also draw in colder (more oxygen rich) air, leading to better combustability in the chamber.

I placed an order Tuesday with ScionPartsPeople.com (WA). They have somewhat lower prices than Sparks, and slightly higher shipping -- in balance they looked worth trying. Unfortunately, their performance appears dismal! I phoned them today to find out what was going on (answer being an uncommunicated delay and cancellation.) I canceled and re-ordered from Sparks.

EDIT: Just thought I'd mention that I've already received confirmation from Sparks of order shipment. These guys are great to deal with ! I definitely recommend them!

Sparks did it again ! I placed the order Thursday afternoon and Fedex Home Delivery dropped it off Saturday! I just now installed my TRD Air Filter and stowed my new cargo tote -- those guys are truly great !
